Expecting!

-Alicia Jackman

Since it's been almost a year since our last "Montly" Newsletter I thought we better update this!

We have moved into Grandma Jackman's home since December 2004 and can't believe we're coming up to a year here in West Jordan. We have been so fortunate to have such wonderful home with a great yard to work in and grow a fun garden. It's been so nice to have family nearby and spend so much time with them.

I have had a wonderful Summer with Damon and babysitting little Emma while Ramona our dear friend has been working. During this time we found out we are expecting our own little one in February.

During General Conference we announced our news which by then we knew we are having a girl! We are so excited to have a girl now. Damon is so good with little Emma and cousin Braxton that he will make a GREAT big Brother!

Bob worked all summer waiting tables and now has been having the wonderful challenge of teaching this year which he has done an excellent job! We are looking forward to his concert on December 8th.

Teaching
-Bob Jackman

After a tiresome summer, now I'm working with middle school kids at Ft. Herriman Middle School in Herriman. I have had the opportunity to teach beginners to advanced students. There was the whole ordeal of just getting the school instruments, lockers and functioning classroom which was only the beginning of the stress for the first two months. Now we have really progressed and it's amazing to watch the children enjoy playing and challenging themselves to do better.

On Father's Day we found out Alicia is Pregnant with our second child. I am excited to have a little girl and really like the name Samantha. Alicia likes the name, but isn't too sure that should be it. So you'll have to let her know it's a good choice! :)

Little Damonator

I have been growing so much this past year! I can say just about any word you teach me. I can sing Twinkle, Twinkle little Star, Popcorn Popping, the Spider song, Old McDonald had a farm, Snowman, Ring around the rosies, and more! I can take my own pictures on Mom & Dad's digital camera; use the potty (when I want to); eat at the table; give Grandma's & Grandpa's hugs & kisses. I'm also really good at saying Sorry when I do something wrong or accidently hurt someone. I can say "Please" & "Thank you" and even "Excuse Me" when I've burped or other bodily noises!

Mom is so impressed with my growing especially how smart I am. I love to play games on the computer and watch Teletubbies & Barnie (Don't tell Dad!)

I have been to three birthday parties this year and had a birthday party for my second birthday. I had so much fun with all my friends. I wasn't even afraid to jump in the pool with all my clothes on!

I was worried the doctor was hurting Mom one week when they said there was a baby in mommy's tummy. Mom was so happy she cried. I had to find out if there was a baby in MY tummy- the doctor said, "No baby in my tummy." I can point to the baby in mommy's tummy and felt her kick, but I'm not quite sure why there's a baby in her tummy. Did she eat a baby?
