New Year !

-Alicia Jackman

We have had a great beginning of a new year! It's crazy to think that we will no longer be a family of three, but of four! February 13th is the day we will be induced if our little girl doesn't decide to come earlier (Bob seems to think she will!)

I have been so excited about our little girl that I've had her room set up for the past month. Everyone has been so good to lend us clothes, car seat and other great "girly" baby necessities!

Bob has taken good care of us as he has been getting used to teaching. We enjoyed a dance concert that he helped with the lighting (you just never know what jobs you'll have when you're teaching) He still manages to work one to two nights a week at Famous Dave's which helps out.

Damon has been growing up so fast and I can't help but be amazed at how fast this little person learns things. He says his prayers over his meals, and his bedtime prayers. We catch him singing to himself primary songs. He is so cute! He is looking more and more like his daddy!

Teaching & Learning
-Bob Jackman

The school year is now half over and you would think I would have this teaching stuff down now. I have established how my class runs and the expectations, but everyday has its new challenges and excitement. It has been very rewarding to watch the students get excited about this years new challenge of passing off scales.

It amazes me how well the beginning band/Orchestra have dedicated them selves and really put forth the efforts. The advanced classes are also doing great along with the percussion class. We have been able to purchase a lot of different music of different levels which has been great to watch the students work hard.

Seems like work is my life, but I enjoy coming home at the end of the day and spending time with my wonderful family. I enjoy playing Elmo with Damon and other sports that he is so fascinated with. He is one athletic kid!

Big Brother to be
-Damon Jackman

My favorite song is Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer since we sang it at Christmas time, along with Popcorn Popping on the Apricot Tree (or Treat).

My friend Seth comes over two times a week to play which is fun since we're the same age. We love to play cars together, run around the house and free-fall from the couch (Mom makes sure there are plenty of pillows to land on when we play that!)

I loved playing soccer in the summer when it was warm and I could put my shin pads on and run outside. Then this fall I've been practicing my basketball shots at Nursery which everyone is amazed with my distance. Now I'm really interested in baseball! Grandma got me a bat and Ball that Mom has to hide so I don't break too many things. Mom and Dad laugh every time I turn the channel to a sports game and am glued. They NEVER watch sports!

Everyone keeps telling me I'm going to be a big brother, but I don't understand I just know "baby sister" is in Mommy's tummy and that she tickles Mommy when I talk to her.
